10x/Pillar Piece on Virtual Assistants

This online and PDF article was created for a virtual assistant (VA) company based in the Philippines. Their website already contained myriad resources about VAs and what they do, but they wanted to create a single, “ultimate guide” to VAs that would thoroughly educate interested business owners.

HR Development Company Newsletter Feature about 360° Employee Reviews

Leadership Mirror® is a 360° review tool created and sold by Development Dimensions International (DDI), a global, award-winning HR consulting company headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was one of the consulting products offered by my department, the leadership development group. I wrote this piece to highlight the tool and its associated consulting service in our corporate newsletter, which had over 20K subscribers.

Promotional Products Industry Publication – Article about How to Use Outdoor Products in Advertising Campaigns

As the PR contact within the marketing department, one of the editors of this industry publication contacted me about writing a piece on outdoor products for advertising specialty campaigns for an upcoming edition of their magazine. The publication’s overall vibe is light and fun, so this is what I came up with.

Customer Letter to Inform about Unprecedented Mid-Year Price Increases

A little behind-the-scenes on this one: I was asked to write a letter that touted all the new products being introduced in the company’s first-time mid-year catalog, and then to only mention the price increase at the end of the letter.

I wrote a letter that buried the lede that way, but I also wrote this one. The C-Suite decided to go with this one.

Blog Post for Website Agency to Tout the Benefits of WordPress.org over WordPress.com

Many people who approach a web design agency are aware that WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system. However, they don’t know that there are two different versions of WordPress. Raney Day Design selected this topic to inform users and to help them select the version that’s right for them.

11 Examples: Romance Copy for Brands and Product Lines

This industry-leading promotion products supplier carried several retail brand products, as well as what they called “internal brands.” Each retail and internal brand required romance copy with the same tagline and “blurb” structure. These are the brands for which I created those “personality” messages.

Catalog Introduction – Anniversary and Brand Refresh

Bullet is a division of Polyconcept North America, which had just passed its 30-year anniversary and underwent its second rebrand. Originally called Sun Manufacturing, it evolved into BulletLine. When the brand needed a refresh, the company decided to change its name simply “Bullet,” as that’s what distributors and end-users had nicknamed them.

Blog Post for an Integrator to Educate Online Entrepreneurs about Adding Team Members

I wrote this article for an online entrepreneur who helps other entrepreneurs organize, systemize, and scale their businesses. Adding a team member to a small, online company is a big (and often scary) step, especially if you’re not sure what role you need to fill. As an expert in growing an online team, Amy wanted to share her knowledge with growing online companies.
